How Google Analytics treats our shortened URLs

Missinglettr generates unique shortened URL's for each blog post campaign we create, but how does Google Analytics handle these?

When we create a new campaign for one of your blog posts, a unique shortened URL will be generated for you. These shortened URLs help save space but also enable us to gather click stats for you.

When a user clicks this URL, they are automatically redirected to the original blog post URL - essentially creating a seamless experience for the user.

Despite the fact that a redirection has occurred, Google Analytics will still know that the referral has come from a social network and will be logged as such. So for instance, if one of your followers clicks a shortened campaign URL from one of the tweets we post for you, that click will be logged as a social referral within Google Analytics.
