Do you guarantee a minimum number of shares via Curate?

This is a great question as it gets to the very heart of why Missinglettr Curate exists and how it fits within your wider content and social marketing strategy.

The short answer is no, we don't guarantee a minimum number of shares. The reason for this is that the role of the Curate platform is to empower users with tools to discover and share content (as well as ways for them to automate that process if there are specific topics they always want to share). But even with these capabilities, we don't force people to share content or demand that they share a minimum amount per month.

We want our users to share content because they want to, not because they have to. As such, our job is to make it as easy as possible for people to discover great content to share with their audience. And by extension, your job (when adding content to the library) is to add great content for others to later on find.

We can't stress enough how important it is to add great content to the library that is meaningful, relevant, and well written (both in terms of the original source material and also the social post you compose to promote it).

It's also worth noting that we currently don't set an expiration date on the content that is added to the library, so even though a lot of users will see their content being picked up and shared almost right away, it's often the case that simply having it in the library means that people are able to find it long into the future and help create a regular stream of shares into the long term. Or put another way, Curate is not just for the short term gains, but the long term as well.
